Website - Fixing Your Computer

Every time I read Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution by Steven Levy, I get into a particular mood. A few years ago, one of these moods caused me to pace anxiously while waiting for some friends to leave a wedding reception. I don't like waiting on people.
This resentment also extends to waiting for inferior operating systems to update themselves. I can't stand doing anything with Windows any more, because the update process is not engaging. With the Ubuntu GNU/Linux operating system, I can see exactly which pieces of my system need updating. With Windows, I wait on a progress bar and reboot constantly, with no output on the screen while booting.
My aggravation with Windows has increased to the point where I will refuse to "fix" any Windows machine. I use scare quotes here because I cannot even guarantee that the system will be in a usable state after a couple of days due to the way new viruses and spyware spread themselves.
The only true fix for Windows problems is a GNU/Linux-based operating system.
